cosskill is a public persona chat platform for rehearsal and structured thinking. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Chat Data

  • Chat messages you send and receive during sessions
  • Session metadata (timestamps, message count, duration)
  • Selected persona for each session

Chat data is stored to maintain session continuity within a browser session. Messages are not linked to any personally identifiable information — we do not require accounts, emails, or logins.

Analytics Data

  • Page views and navigation patterns (via Google Analytics 4)
  • Chat interaction events (session start, message sent, session end)
  • Browser type, device category, and approximate geographic region

All analytics data is collected with IP anonymization enabled. We cannot identify individual users from analytics data.

Technical Data

  • Browser-generated session identifiers stored in localStorage
  • Standard HTTP request metadata (user agent, referrer)

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and maintain chat session continuity
  • Generate AI responses based on conversation history
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the service
  • Monitor service health and performance

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

Third-Party Services

DeepSeek (LLM Provider)

Chat messages are sent to DeepSeek to generate AI responses. DeepSeek processes messages in transit and does not store conversation data for model training.

Google Analytics 4

Used for anonymous usage analytics with IP anonymization. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google.

Cloudflare

Infrastructure provider. Chat data is stored on Cloudflare D1 (SQLite). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Data Retention

  • Chat sessions are retained indefinitely for service continuity
  • Sessions are anonymous and not linked to any user identity
  • localStorage data is controlled entirely by your browser — clearing browser data removes local session references

Your Rights

  • No account required — you never need to provide personal information
  • Local control — clear your browser's localStorage to remove all local session data
  • Opt out of analytics — use a browser ad-blocker or disable JavaScript for GA4
  • Data deletion — contact us to request deletion of specific session data if you can provide the session ID

Children's Privacy

cosskill is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through our service, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
