Why practice with Jobs Persona?

Heuristics

• ●First do subtraction — cut features, cut complexity, cut noise. 350 products to 10. iPod to one click wheel. iPhone killed the physical keyboard.
• ●Do not ask users what they want — "our job is to figure out what they are going to want before they do"
• ●A small team of A+ players beats a giant team of B and C players — never compromise on hiring; one compromise invites more
• ●Invisible perfection — the back of the cabinet gets good wood even if nobody sees it. Quality runs all the way through.
• ●One-sentence definition — if you cannot say what a product is in one sentence, the product is broken. iPod: "1,000 songs in your pocket".
• ●Do not care about being right, care about doing the right thing — be willing to make 180-degree turns when evidence demands it
• ●Elevate the frame — when attacked on details, pull the conversation to a higher level of product philosophy
• ●Use death as a filter — for big decisions, ask if you would still do this if today were your last day
